The food drum has a large capacity and can hold enough flake food for up to 4 weeks. It is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater tanks.

The feeder operates on a battery and feeds the fish twice a day at 12-hour intervals. It requires 1 AA battery to function. Please note that the feeding schedule is preset and cannot be changed. However, this new version features an On/Off switch that allows for better control over each 12-hour interval. Please remember that the battery is not included with the feeder.

The Daily-Double Automatic Fish Feeder is designed specifically for dispensing finely crushed flake food. If you prefer to use pellet food, it is recommended to fill the drum only to 1/3 capacity and regularly check for proper rotation to prevent clogging.

To ensure that the food remains dry, it is important to avoid placing the feeder above any bubbling aquarium accessories such as air stones, aerating ornaments, or turbulent filters. The moisture produced by these accessories can be absorbed by the flakes and cause unnecessary clogging.

In addition to its main features, this feeder can be mounted to a tank or used as a freestanding unit on top of an aquarium cover or lid. It also includes a built-in adjustable food dispenser, allowing you to control the amount of food your fish receive. The newest model of this feeder also has an On/Off Switch, enabling you to set when the 12-hour interval starts.

The measurements of the feeder are as follows: Overall = 3.25” (W) x 3.5” (D) x 4.25” (H), Freestanding Base = 2.5” (W) x 2.1” (D), and it requires AA batteries (not included).
